I want to stream TV/PAL images over a LAN, preferably using VIC. I considered the Hauppauge WinTV, but it doesn't do any compression, so I assume it' not feasable over a LAN ? (software compression ?) The Miro DC30plus card looks nice but as far as I know this is not supported under FreeBSD/VIC (Zoran ZR36057/50/16 chipset) ? I used to do this with a Parallax board on a Sun, which worked fine; but this is not sold anymore and for obvious reasons I want to use FreeBSD or maybe Linux. Any recommendations ?
