Ok, nice links boys, but if you have a good internet connection and you can
surf on the web, can you look for Emulators and Simulators of Sparc
CPU/Plattform on other platforms (Intel?)?
How will this help us? I think we can simulate many thing, and maybe we can
develop faster the kernel. The main problem, when you develop Kernel is that
teorically you should use 2 Sparc, one for booting and using the kernel and the
second one to monitor the firt one.
If we have the Emulators/Simulators we can speed up this process....
Another idea: someone ad Sun can tell us if they use two machine to develop
kernel, and how to do this?
Can we use an Intel box to monitor via the OBP and a serial port? Can we do the
memory dump of a "dead" UltraSparc when it does not boot correctly?
How to implement a mechanism which dump the memory "somewhere" when we have a
kernel panic?
These are questions that can help us very much...
