Yes.

Apparently writes of 1 (for 2001) are confusing it. I thought it was just my
one (possibly) flakey system.  But guess not.

I'll try *not* subtracting off the 100. This is not a y2k compliant chip, so
some toe stubbing seems to need to occur.
