Hi, =20 I write you aiming to propose a suggestion : why not adding a banner to = the website's welcome page in aim to protest and inform about the software patent european directive. =20 It's a fight for freedom ;-) and much of european citizens and IT professionals just don't know about this directive ! In France for = example, the press don't inform about this (it's a shame, cause previous french government took directives for the use of open source and free software = in administration offices and education, has all this effort gone to the = sewer ?). =20 Many of web sites aiming to support or in concern to open source = software have already modified their homepage ... Why not *BSD relatives sites (officials ones more) don't have done this = yet ? Everyone is concern about this directive from far or near point of = view. =20 Anyway, thanks for all the job done (special thanks to Stephane's freebsd-fr.org team efforts). FreeBSD (and free *BSD in general) are = the proudness of a lot *NIX sysadmins cause of its robutness among other = things ;-). Don't stop, we're all proud using the fruit of your great work. =20 Micka=EBl (France) =20
