The ppp line you need is set device PPPoE:xl0 or whatever your ethernet device is at the end there. However, this requires that netgraph be compiled into the kernel or available as a loadable kernel modules, and I don't think either of these is the case. So you have to go through the Win98 box. Set it up to share the Internet connection.
