Dont know about the list but my experience on my laptop... gateway solo, was unremittingly sucky....... much slower in general, my xircom cardbus caused panics, I have two 3com cards, one wouldn't work at all, the other was depressingly slow and chewed up 100% cpu whenever I used it. I just don't think 5 is ready for laptop use, the server side and offers compelling reasons to upgrade but until I get my smp raid equiped laptop I am going to need some serious persuading before I say goodbye to 4.8. (and for the yeah sayers, I tried numerous configs and begged for help on -current without getting anywhere). I'm waiting for 5.3........ ;-)
