People still install qmail for new setups? (I'm genuinely curious)

I haven't looked at the FreeBSD port, but I assume that we provide a
healthy patchset, yes?

My suggestion for any maildir server these days would be ZFS + SSD ZIL &
L2ARC and LZ4 compression.
