What confused me was that /etc/default/make.conf had disappeared. Other replies have made it clear that the user is free to copy = /usr/share/examples/etc/make.conf to /etc/make.conf, and edit as = desired. What I am still unclear about is why the /etc/default/make.conf file has = disappeared in 5.x. But that is a less important question. -----Original Message----- From: owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org = [mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org] On Behalf Of Antoine = Jacoutot Sent: Monday, 14 June 2004 17:04 To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Subject: Re: Default make.conf in FreeBSD 5.x?
