(or something similar to that.) is this a > big problem/known event/bug or something? Yes. 3.0 uses ELF, and the a.out libraries (used by ldconfig) are now in /usr/lib/aout, not /usr/lib. The message is silly, but it does point to the fact that you should now have your a.out libs in /usr/lib/aout. You should check and see if this is the case.
