I realized that this was probably the case only after I sent the email, but this keeps me from having to test so thanks. I do think the documentation leads one to think differently about what PACKAGESITE does; perhaps I'll try to submit a clarification. Without a tinderbox, you can 'mkdir /usr/ports/packages' on your local build server. When you 'make package' (or your preferred choice) the packages will be put in /usr/ports/packages with the correct hierarchy, symlinks to PACKAGESITE/All/ etc. HTH. -- Glen Barber
