Gunnar- What version of FreeBSD? Try adding something like pccard_mem="0xd8000" # Avoid memory clash with video in /etc/rc.conf. This worked on a Thinkpad A20M which was otherwise giving "null" "null" for the cards. It would help if we had some error messages or /var/run/dmesg.boot content.
