It's using the terminal settings (terminfo cvvis, termcap vs) to see how to do this. FreeBSD provides only rudimentary support for customizing your terminal description (the preferred solution); and chosing an alternative description can be frustrating (apparently the recommended solution ;-) -- Thomas E.
