Removing the WORK directory was not the solution. Removing the ENTIRE goggles directory and allowing CVSUP to replace it is the solution. Unfortunately, CVSUP updates for Goggles were not properly deleting files, especially the FILES directory - which left old patches in place. After deleting the existing multimedia/goggles directory, performing CVSUP on /usr/ports, and doing a MAKE in multimedia/goggles, Goggles-0.5.6_1 was successfully compiled. Removing the old Goggles and installing the newer Goggles was then successful. The CVSUP process related to Goggles may need to be reviewed to make sure that the entire Goggles directory is DELETED and then new ports files installed in the Goggles directory.
