If there is an entry in there for it, just do, # pkg_delete /var/db/pkg/<packge_name> To remove it. If there is no entry in /var/db/pkg, there is no longer any record of how the package on your system. There is nothing pkg_delete(8) can do to help you. You can try to figure out what files are installed by the package and remove them by hand. You can also just install the new package/port. It should clobber most or all of the old files... unless names/locations of files has changed between versions. -- Crist J.
