On the other hand, you will find the FreeBSD operating system on the above-mentioned site. As the name implies, FreeBSD is a free product. Free in **both** senses of the word. You can download the whole operating system for free if you like, as well as a number of pieces of software (packages) which may meet your needs. Or you could buy the CDs, and only pay for the distribution costs: The OS as such is **completely** free. Moreover, FreeBSD is a NOS, that is a Network Operating System. You may wish to have a look at http://www.freebsd.org: it contains a large amount of interesting information.
