Hi: I'm using 5.2.1, and today when I was transferring files between two different FreeBSD boxes, the 5.2.1 machine's network hung with the following messages to /var/log/messages: Jul 31 10:07:42 belle kernel: sk0: watchdog timeout FWIW, the network is builtin ASUS P4P-800SE motherboard: skc0: Yukon Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-T Adapter sk0: <Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. Yukon> on skc0 sk0: Ethernet address: 00:0e:a6:96:8f:72 miibus0: <MII bus> on sk0 e1000phy0: <Marvell 88E1000 Gigabit PHY> on miibus0 e1000phy0: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, 1000baseTX-FDX, auto I'm not sure what these other interfaces besides sk0 are... It turned out that running 'ipconfig sk0 down' and 'ipconfig sk0 up' brought the network back to life. Any ideas what may have happened? I'm trying to get an idea if it was a hardware or software problem (or both). -Clint
