My own opinion is that we should let them do this.  If you are in
a mood of fixing binutils autoconf files to check for existence of
getopt_long() and submit them back to BU maintainers, or just throw
them an idea, that would be great, and if accepted, future imports
will do it automatically.  David won't even probably notice that,
and I'll be forced to fix the upgrade path from RELENG_4.  Hell,
but I've dealt with it already.  ;)
