I tried to make the entire world right after this. The buildworld cycle goes right, but when i want to install the error come up. It complains about the local Russian language. The symlink ru_SU.CP866 should point at a directory witch hold the file LC_COLLATE. There are more links like this one. At least all the ru* links (no directories) are bad. Any ideas on how to fix this? Tanks in advance for answering. --- data from the install --- install -c -m 644 -o root -g wheel ru_SU.CP866.out /usr/share/locale/ru_SU.CP866/LC_COLLATE install: /usr/share/locale/ru_SU.CP866/LC_COLLATE: Too many levels of symbolic links *** Error code 71 1 error *** Error code 2 1 error *** Error code 2 --- ls /usr/share/locale/ru* --- lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 11 Mar 28 14:59 ru_RU.CP866@ -> ru_SU.CP866 lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 16 Mar 28 14:59 ru_RU.ISO_8859-5@ -> ru_SU.ISO_8859-5 lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 12 Mar 28 14:59 ru_RU.KOI8-R@ -> ru_SU.KOI8-R lrwxrwxrwx 1 root wheel 11 Mar 18 01:34 ru_SU.CP866@ -> ru_RU.CP866 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root wheel 15 Mar 18 01:34 ru_SU.ISO8859-5@ -> ru_RU.ISO8859-5 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root wheel 15 Mar 18 01:34 ru_SU.ISO_8859-5@ -> ru_RU.ISO8859-5 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root wheel 12 Mar 18 01:34 ru_SU.KOI8-R@ -> ru_RU.KOI8-R The seem to be linking to each other to me. -- Best regards, Alex mailto:freebsd@akruijff.dds.nl To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
