But if you want to get going fast with freebsd then take a look at _FreeBSD: An Open-Source Operating System for Your PC_ by Annelise Anderson. There is a set of core concepts that make the unix command line one of the most powerful productivity tools on the planet. _The Unix Programming Environment_ by Brian W.
