Ulrich Spoerlein <uqs@FreeBSD.org> has reassigned Bugzilla Automation <bugzilla@FreeBSD.org>'s request for maintainer-feedback to gnome@FreeBSD.org: Bug 195677: [PATCH] devel/xdg-utils: xdg-open broken for non-KDE/non-GNOME users https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=195677 --- Description --- Created attachment 150186 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=150186&action=edit patch for devel/xdg-utils xdg-open falls through to some code for the non-KDE, non-GNOME case that relies on the built-in printf to turn things like \x20 into a literal space. This was fixed in Debian by using their /usr/bin/printf, which does that. Ours doesn't but Jilles pointed me to unvis(1) which can decode URIs just fine (yay!).
