Having news' databases in /.../lib is kinda stupid, sorry. Configs -- yes. I see a whole bunch of situations when I'd like to have _all_ "libs" to be on a r/o mounted FS. Speaking about news databases and all the stuff -- they _are_ variable, let them live in /var somewhere. > YMMV.
