On my machine razzia.lemis.com (3.0) or daemon.lemis.com (2.2.7), I do it by booting from a different slice. Here's razzia: $ df Filesystem 1024-blocks Used Avail Capacity Mounted on /dev/sd0s1a 38991 28971 6901 81% / /dev/sd0s1e 38991 22248 13624 62% /Root /dev/sd0s1f 921679 766309 81636 90% /Usr /dev/sd0s1g 921951 814421 33774 96% /usr I get this by booting from /dev/sd0s1a. If I boot from /dev/sd0s1e, I get daemon, and the file system names are: /dev/sd0s1a 38991 28971 6901 81% /Root /dev/sd0s1e 38991 22248 13624 62% / /dev/sd0s1f 921679 766309 81636 90% /usr /dev/sd0s1g 921951 814421 33774 96% /Usr Greg -- See complete headers for address, home page and phone numbers finger grog@lemis.com for PGP public key To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
