People always go both ways on this. Simplicity in ports is good. Configurability is good. I have several hundred systems without gettext installed with 50-250 ports each installed. No X though. Lets see how much fun we all have when gettext 0.18 drops which just had a -exp run. To me the big win is I'll be watching and 'laughing' at all the portupgrade -Arr or portmaster -a.
