Subject:   root director for FTP users

Hi,
    I am wondering if there is a way to change the root director
of the a FTP user to /var/ftp, and make it so that he/she cannot
change to a higher hierachy directory. (i.e. /var is not permitted)

Chroot somehow doesn't work unless the ftp user is su...  and I
couldn't figure out why...
