Collating is not implemented in all UTF-8 locales. >=20 How many of the locales don't have collation yet? A few? Many? All? I have to admit, that looking at my own setup, I do use: LC_CTYPE=3Den_US.UTF-8 LC_COLLATE=3DPOSIX which suggests this was a problem for me too (I don't remember for sure - it's been a while since I switched to UTF-8 and I don't recall now exactly why I needed this). I.e., is this an obstacle that only affects a few locales and therefore shouldn't be a show-stopper for everyone else, is it a problem with an easy work-around such as the above, or is this really a reason not to move ahead right now? -jr --V0207lvV8h4k8FAm Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (FreeBSD) iQDVAwUBRKFHQUkkqUax7f6FAQIkiwX/f9LMlo7KK1xk2MN2eSD8LCgmxviQUAZv OACabUL0WFGv616ajtwyw2aq0H1eYJjVRNIGfi2pl8aAU95at+6Asub9hV4sxSj7 SEE5P+e9VpRG1+0PIQuphgqAJ7geFt6BKmW2heT7w86w3qboz5/1Unzc61mWGLib uiviFG4x8CCps260PSSH5dQn3ZkTdk04qRlIktp1mWqk5uUX1IWTPXH9NscEksch RDGIebNGdNRPiQlpdXTdddCy6W1/B64G =G0pD -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --V0207lvV8h4k8FAm--
