Time proved that we cannot get rid of python 2.7 in a timely manner, as it =
is
most notably still required as build dependency for the other major
web-browsers/-kits.

As those are allowed to use python 2.7 *during build time*, so should a new
port.

Bundled libraries are bad, but again, the other web-browsers have plenty of
precedent in that area. Aim to "remove what is possible, keep what is
necessary".

So those are not blockers anymore.


As for upstreams history and as it seems their future plans, that is comple=
tely
in their hands.
