Hi!

As I know, there are a lots of development tools for both Apple PowerPC/PCI
and IBM PowerPC/PCI systems, including very good standards descs and 
hardware interface docs... The new OpenFirmware the best thing in these
stds... you can check out www page of Power Micro Research, they 've
lots of powerpc stuff...
