However, both don't work, with the same error message: $ mplayer /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libusb.so.0" not found $ aviplay /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libusb.so.0" not found I fixed it by doing manually(!): # cd /usr/ports/devel/libusb # make install [...] # cd /usr/local/lib # ls -als libusb* libusb-0.1.so -> libusb-0.1.so.5 libusb-0.1.so.5 libusb.a libusb.so -> libusb-0.1.so.5 # ln -s libusb.so libusb.so.0 Note that I'm not at all using the usb! This hidden dependency on usb makes no sense to me. Any ideas what's wrong here? Regards, Rob.
