you have to go back into the ports tree, and in
/usr/ports/x11/kdebase2/Makefile
where it says
CONFIGURE_ARGS+=--with-xdmdir=${X11BASE}/lib/X11/xdm \
--with-qt-dir=${X11BASE} \
--without-ldap \
--disable-closure
change it to
CONFIGURE_ARGS+=--with-xdmdir=${X11BASE}/lib/X11/xdm \
--with-qt-dir=${X11BASE} \
--without-ldap \
--disable-closure \
--with-shadow
and recompile
you don't have to recompile the whole thing, but it's easier.
