I know that this is mostly off-topic but no-one on the mysql list seems to know. Running 4.2 Freebsd, Apache 1.3.19, Mysql 3.23.37 and Php 4.0.5 (or trying to) inhouse no connection to net. When I start Mysql get @HOSTNAME@ not found. If I type hostname at prompt it returns the units name I've also tried copying hostname to HOSTNAME same result. It starting from a script (mysql.server) and I can't find a reference to using @...@ in any of the online manuals. This is getting frustrating. Any help appreciated.
