In -CURRENT the installer images are dual-mode BIOS & UEFI -- they are MBR partitioned with a boot block for BIOS and also have an EFI System Partition for UEFI boot. When the UEFI support was merged back to stable/10 we kept the traditional BIOS-only images as well, in case there were unanticipated problems.
