I recently switched from Linux-Mandrake to FreeBSD 3.2 on one of our servers here. One problem arose, which has me bugged: I have a block of 32 virtual (aliases) ip's defined in 1_aliases.sh which if loaded, keeps KDE from loading. If I edit !_aliases.sh to include only 12 ip's, all runs fine, and from a terminal propmt run 1_aliases_32.sh which will load all 32 and allow KDE to continue to operate until I close KDE, then KDE will not reload again. When I reboot, the 12 aliases load, I start KDE, load the 32 aliases, and all is fine until I again shut KDE down, then I must use the restart process to get my KDE back. It's obvious that the virtual addresses and KDE are clashing, any ideas as to why. The box is a PII/333Mhz, with 96MB memory, IDE and PCI devices only, no sound card, only video and ethernet. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Ed To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
