This is just an FYI: Accessing /dev/mem via a read operation (aka cat /dev/mem or dd if=/dev/mem) hangs 4.5-stable. No panic ... To be more precise what I typed was: cat /dev/mem > /e/xxx (in case it was the disk access is related to the hang).
