It has the following specification: > > Asus TUSL2-C Motherboard/Intel 815EP Chipset > 80GB of IDE storage > 20GB SCSI using a Tekram DC-390U2/W adapter > 512MB P133 memory > Matrox G450/32MB AGP 4X Video > Soundblaster 1024 Live sound card > USB connected printer and scanner (both Epson models) FreeBSD has great updating mechanism. All you have to do on a properly configured system is # cd /usr/src # make update This way you can update your system sources, ports framework, and docs all at once. As for the HW compatibility: FreeBSD is slightly lagging behind Linux, for various reasons. I had truble getting the onboard graphic card on my i815-based motherboard cooperate with X, but you have G450 in that box... And I've not tried a Matrox in a FBSD box.. yet. As for the rest of the HW, you're on your own. :) -- FreeBSD 4.4-STABLE 7:15PM up 16 days, 5:58, 19 users, load averages: 0.07, 0.15, 0.22 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
