And, because I opted to get the 1600x1200 resolution screen I have been running at that since then. But... because I tend to value my eyesight, I would like to decrease the resolution to something like 1280x1024. That all works great, until I decide to switch to the console, and then the display fades to white and I have to power off the machine without a shutdown :-( So, as to my question.. Does anyone have a system like this running at a resolution like what I am looking for? As to my system setup. I am running 4.4-STABLE built on December 19, with XFree86 4.1.0 patchlevel 7.
