Hi Beech, many thanks for your clear help. I will try that in a few moments.... However, I wanted to ask you something else becuase of your quote: "Doing a make installworld before finding out if the new kernel will boot will bite you big time at some point" Unquote How am I able to find out if the new kernel will boot then?
