My builds (of {libglade, gweled}) are straight out-of-the-box,
using a ports tree less than 24 hours old at the time of build.

libtool-1.5 rebuilt - check. Didn't fix the problem.
"portupgrade -Rf" did. It didn't run to completion (had
problems with gamin inter alia) but what did get rebuilt put gweled
back on track.
