Although I would never recommend one to a client; I have no issues with the 
Realtek cards. The rl drivers works well. The cards I use are the Aopen 
AON-325 and they aren't as cheap as the cheapest realtek - but I like them.

My home bsd nat box runs two of these, at work I run Intel's (yup, I am a 
coward).
