Sorry if this is a dumb question, but... Is it OK to mix Wide (e.g. Barracuda HDD) and non-Wide (e.g. CD-ROM) devices on a single bus? Wide disks and adaptors seem to be the norm now, but I want to make sure I will be able to share the bus with a CD-ROM before I pay the little bit extra for the wide disks.
