Hubbard" Sender: owner-freebsd-current@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Well, they worked so well on kickme.cdrom.com (which finished a complete world build with soft updates on just a few hours ago) that I decided to try it on goanna (AKA zaphod), my 3.0-current dual-P6 box. After installing the soft update kernel, doing the tunefs thing and rebooting, it died right after starting AMD on the reboot with the following panic: panic: softdep_fsync: pending ops mp_lock = 0x00000001; cpuid = 0; lapic.id = 01000000 Unfortunately, the dump also failed so I didn't get an image for you guys. I can try again if you're unable to reproduce it. I'm also off to check my LKMs and such carefully since all I did was rebuild a new kernel - I haven't made the world on the box for a couple of weeks. - Jordan To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
