Or that he got at DSL line with a faulty router. I've got the exact same problem with a SpeedStream 26xx router. Even in a open setup it kills off traceroutes from FreeBSD no matter if I choose udp, tcp etc. as outgoing package. And it's a know problem (haven't seen any solution).
