THE QUESTION WAS: Various Athena widgets don't work. I can't get any of the menu items to highlight. I can't open a menu on my xterms. THE ANSWER: You've got your NumLock key turned on. Turn it off. What? You want your NumLock key turned on? Okay, put ServerNumLock in the "Keyboard" section of your XF86Config file. This will have the server treat NumLock internally, rather than as a modifier key. Now, why the hell isn't this a FAQ item?!?! -- Sean Kelly NOAA Forecast Systems Lab, Boulder Colorado USA One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said, "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late. -- Jack Handey
