My env is jdk-1.3.1 (alpha), on a FreeBSD 5.0 (current as of Tuesday August 14 2001. The error is due to libnet.so trying to revolve a call to getnamebyhost_r. There is no such system call in FreeBSD, or am I missing something here ? Thanks for the porting efforts so far !
