I use "mount_msdosfs -D cp1251 -L ru_RU.KOI8-R /dev/ad1s5 /mnt" for mounting vfat filesystem with codepage CP1251 (in system with ru_RU.KOI8-R locale). All filenames in /mnt are gambled. English filenames too! For example dot symbol become asterisk. I have the same trouble with generic kernel or when i use "-W koi2dos" instead "-D cp1251". I notice english filenames gambling only when i use -L or -W or -D in mount_msdosfs or -C in mount_cd9660. It seems to me, that this is observed only with amd64 kernel. Everything is OK with FreeBSD 5.2.1 i386 on the same hardware with identical settings (tty: cons25r, login class: russian, LANG=ru_RU.KOI8-R, MM_CHARSET=KOI8-R) and identical commands. Excuse me, my english is poor. >How-To-Repeat: In FreeBSD5.3-RELEASE amd64 mount vfat partition with codepage cp1251 using command like: mount_msdosfs -D cp1251 -L ru_RU.KOI8-R /dev/ad1s5 /mnt >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted:
