G'day folks:

Last week I upgraded my 2.1.5-R server to 2.1.7-R. Since then, my ZIP drive
has been giving hardware failures if I try to do something like fsck a
FFS-formated Zip disk or allow /etc/daily to make a once over of the mounted
disk. I've also noticed that the drive "clicks" twice when these errors
occur.

Oddly enough, I haven't seen these errors when I just mount the filesystem
on the zipdisk, and try to use it.

The particular errors are similar to the following, with only the "info:"
changing.

    Mar 12 02:02:53 resnet-18-52 /kernel: sd1(bt0:6:0): HARDWARE FAILURE
        info:19049 asc:15,98

        info:1e041 asc:15,98
    Mar 12 02:02:57 resnet-18-52 /kernel: sd1(bt0:6:0): HARDWARE FAILURE
        info:23049 asc:15,98

        info:28041 asc:15,98
    Mar 12 02:03:01 resnet-18-52 /kernel: sd1(bt0:6:0): HARDWARE FAILURE
        info:2d049 asc:15,98
    Mar 12 02:03:03 resnet-18-52 /kernel: sd1(bt0:6:0): HARDWARE FAILURE

    Mar 12 02:03:05 resnet-18-52 /kernel: sd1(bt0:6:0): HARDWARE FAILURE

    Mar 12 02:03:08 resnet-18-52 /kernel: sd1(bt0:6:0): HARDWARE FAILURE

        info:1e049 asc:15,98

fsck also complains with:

    CANNOT READ: BLK 184352
    CONTINUE? [yn]

Here's the dmesg output for the machine:

Has anyone seen problems similar to this, with any version of FreeBSD, and
SCSI Zip Drives? Any other information that could be needed to resolve this
problem is available on request.

Thanks in advance!
