Compaq does not officially support FreeBSD but they do offer some =
'Health and Wellness' drivers for linux that (among other things) =
control the fans so they don't get so loud. Has anyone tried running =
these drivers under linux compatability? Is this even possible?

We are interested in using a DL380G2 and FreeBSD for a dedicated mrtg =
box. The other time I tried to put FreeBSD on one of these (several =
months ago) I could not get SMP to work right and the fans were just =
obnoxious anyway. Despite this, we are primarily interested in a DL380G2 =
and FreeBSD for this project. The alternative is microsoft - IMO we have =
more than enough of that already.

Please cc me with any replies - sometimes I get behind on this list. =
Thanks!

-Will
