Compaq does not officially support FreeBSD but they do offer some 'Health and Wellness' drivers for linux that (among other things) control the fans so they don't get so loud. Has anyone tried running these drivers under linux compatability? Is this even possible? We are interested in using a DL380G2 and FreeBSD for a dedicated mrtg box. The other time I tried to put FreeBSD on one of these (several months ago) I could not get SMP to work right and the fans were just obnoxious anyway. Despite this, we are primarily interested in a DL380G2 and FreeBSD for this project. The alternative is microsoft - IMO we have more than enough of that already. Please cc me with any replies - sometimes I get behind on this list. Thanks! -Will To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
