Hmmm... no crashes here on both systems.  Must be something else.

I think someone said he had the same problem with 24 bit color.  See if
you can drop down to 16 bit color and see if the problem goes away.  (My
video is only 16 bit color at 1024x768, and everything works fine here
even on Inetz). 

Video chip is ARK 2MB & AMD K5-PR166 cpu.
