If so I would gladly appreciate any help that you > could offer. yea, sendmail is doing DNS lookups. when it tries to connect to the DNS server, it brings up your PPP link (which must be set to auto). i have not tried this but add FEATURE(nocanonify) FEATURE(nodns) to you .mc file run m4 on it install it as /etc/sendamil.cf restart sendmail jmb
