Subject:   DSL and magma.ca and PPPoE

After much fighting I was able to get PPPoE on DSL to connect to
magma.ca in Ottwa.  They have lots of help and scripts for Linux, but
none for FreeBSD.  The Linux script show disabling all compression
protocols.  However the  key seems to be

disable pred1

I hope this will help someone.
