The scsi_change_def()   function   in scsi_base.c has  recently   been made
"static" and between #ifdef  notyet ...  #endif.  The function is  actually
called in scsiconf.c when SCSI_2_DEF is defined in the kernel config. file. 

Hence  an undefined symbol at  link time if  one defines  SCSI_2_DEF. It is
used  to force  certain   old CCS  (not quite SCSI2)    drive to answer  as
SCSI2. You may want to put the function back to its previous state.
